The compass consist of a transparent plastic mainly rectangular base with a rounded edge against the hand, a magnifying lens, and a circular dial assembly with a liquid damped compass needle. The compass is non-radio active, magnetic, unmounted, and suitable for field conditions.

Needle design: Red for north and black for south. The needle has a luminescent area in the north end. The center of the needle is transparent and the damping shape of the needle is also transparent. The hub of the needle features a NdFeB ring shaped magnet.

Needle movement damping method: Non-freezing transparent liquid filled compass capsule.

Compass capsule: Hermetically sealed transparent PMMA capsule, diameter 35 mm.

Orienting arrow: Red and black colored with luminescent dots next to it, located at the bottom of the rotating capsule.

Declination corection: Fixed scale at the bottom of the rotating capsule going full 360˚ with 0 at the orienting arrow. The scale has a two degrees resolution and is marked with a number every 20˚.

Protractor index: White line on black background under protractor scale.
