Declination corection: Fixed scale at the bottom of the rotating capsule going from 0 at the orienting arrow and extending 90° E and W. The declination correction has a two degrees resolution and is marked with a number every  20°.

Protractor index: White line on black background under protractor scale for forward bearing and a black needle shape next to the protractor for back-bearing.

Sighting Tools

Mirror: (1) Mirror inside black protective lid. The mirror has a center line and can be tilted at predefined angles above the compass. (2) The lid encloses the protractor assembly when in the closed position in order to provide suitable protection for the compass. (3) The lid has a V-sight on the top and a hole with a V-sight at the base. The V-sights are alligned with the center line. (4) The lid forms a straight line with the sides of the baseplates to form a long straight line tool for working on the map. (5) A catch locks the mirror lid in the closed position.
